No person should be alone with a woman except when there is a mahram -muslim

Ibn 'Abbas (RadhiAllahu 'anhuma) reported:

I heard Allah's Messenger ﷺ delivering a sermon and making this observation:

"No person should be alone with a woman except when there is a mahram with her, and the woman should not undertake journey except with a mahram."

A person stood up and said: Allah's Messenger ﷺ, my wife has set out for pilgrimage, whereas I am enlisted to fight in such and such battle,

whereupon he ﷺ said:" You go and perform Hajj with your wife."

Allah's Messenger (pbuh) didn't deliver sermon on certain days fearing it might be boring

Shaqiq (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) reported: We were sitting at the door of Abdullah b. Mas'ud (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) waiting for him (to come out and deliver a sermon to us).

It was at this time that there happened to pass by us Yazid b. Mu'awiya an-Nakha'i. (RA). We said: Inform him (Abdullah b. Mas'ud (RA)) of our presence here. He went in and Abdullah b. Mas'ud (RA) lost no time in coming out to us and said:

"I was informed of your presence here but nothing hindered me to come out to you but the fact that I did not like to bore you (by stuffing your minds with sermons) as Allah's Messenger ﷺ did not deliver us sermon on certain days fearing that it might prove to be boring for us."

The Prophet (pbuh): Hold fast to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly-guided Caliphs

`Irbad bin Sariyah (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) reported: 

One day, Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) delivered a very effective speech, as a result, eyes shed tears and hearts became softened.

A man said: "O Prophet of Allah! (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) It sounds as if this is a farewell speech, so advise us.''

He (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "I admonish you to fear Allah, and to listen and obey even if a black slave has been appointed as your leader. For whoever among you lives after me will see much discord. So hold fast to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs who will come after me. Adhere to them and hold fast to them. Beware of Bid`ah (in religion) because every Bid`ah is a misguidance.''
