Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): It is not right for a Muslim to keep apart from another Muslim for more than three days

Narrated Aisha (RadhiAllahu 'anha), Ummul Mu'minin:

The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said:

It is not right for a Muslim to keep apart from another Muslim for more than three days. Then when he meets him and gives three salutations, receiving during that time no response, the other bears his sin.

[Sunan Abu-Dawud Book 41, Hadith 4895]

Kindness adds to its beauty and if withdrawn makes it defective

'A'isha (RadiAllahu 'anha), the wife of Allah's Apostle , reported Allah's Apostle  as saying:

Kindness is not to be found in anything but that it adds to its beauty and it is not withdrawn from anything but it makes it defective.

[Sahih Muslim - Book 32 - Hadith 6274]

Something excellent in degree than fasting, prayer and charity!

Narrated AbudDarda' (RadhiAllahu 'anhu):

The Prophet  ﷺ said:

Shall I not inform you of something more excellent in degree than fasting, prayer and almsgiving (sadaqah)? The people replied: Yes, Prophet of Allah!

He  said: It is putting things right between people, spoiling them is the shaver (destructive).

[Sunan Abu-Dawud - Book 41 - Hadith 4901]

What Allah has forbidden and Allah has hated for us

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba (RadhiAllahu 'anhu):

The Prophet  said:

"Allah has forbidden for you,

(1) to be undutiful to your mothers,
(2) to bury your daughters alive,
(3) to not to pay the rights of the others (e.g. charity, etc.) and
(4) to beg of men (begging).

And Allah has hated for you,

(1) vain, useless talk, or that you talk too much about others,
(2) to ask too many questions, (in disputed religious matters) and
(3) to waste the wealth (by extravagance).

[Sahih Bukhari - Book 41 - Hadith 591]

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh): Envy devours good deeds just as fire devours fuel / grass

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RadhiAllahu 'anhu):

The Prophet  ﷺ said:

Avoid envy, for envy devours good deeds just as fire devours fuel or (he said) "grass."

Hadith: Islamic manners in speech and behaviour

An-Nawawi’s Hadith No.15

Abu Hurairah (Radhiallahu anhu) narrated,

that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said:

"Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day, either speak good or keep silent, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest."

It was related by Bukhari and Muslim

The Prophet (pbuh): The believer is the believer's mirror

Narrated AbuHurayrah (RadhiAllahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam)  said:

The believer is the believer's mirror, and the believer is the believer's brother who guards him against loss and protects him when he is absent.

The Prophet (pbuh): Show mercy to our young ones

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As  (RadhiAllahu 'anhuma):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said:

Those who do not show mercy to our young ones and do not realise the right of our elders are not from us.

Fear Allah, and follow up a bad deed with a good one

An-Nawawi’s Hadith No.18

On the authority of Abu Dharr Jundub ibn Junadah and Abu Abd ar-Rahman Muadh ibn Jabal (Radhiallahu Anhum) that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said:

"Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow up a bad deed with a good one and it will wipe it out, and behave well towards people."

It was related by at-Tirmidhi, who said, it is a Hasan (fair) Hadith, and in some copies [of at-Tirmidhi’s collection] it is said to be a Hasan (fair) and Sahih (sound) Hadith.

Fear Allah and do good deeds after doing bad ones

Abu Dharr and Mu`adh bin Jabal (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) reported that:

Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"Fear Allah wherever you are, do good deeds after doing bad ones, the former will wipe out the latter, and behave decently towards people".

Which of the deeds takes one nearer to paradise?

'Abdullah b. Mas'ud (RadhiAllahu 'anhu) reported:

I said: Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam), which of the deeds (takes one) nearer to paradise?

He (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: Prayer at its proper time,

I said: What next, Messenger of Allah (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam)?

He (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: Kindness to the parents.

I said: What next?

He (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: Jihad in the cause of Allah.

There would enter Paradise people whose hearts would be like those of the hearts of birds.

One is not strong because of one's wrestling skillfully

Abu Huraira (Radhi-Allahu 'anhu) reported:

I heard Allah's Messenger (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: One is not strong because of one's wrestling skillfully.

They said: Allah's Messenger (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam), then who is strong?

He (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said: He who controls his anger when he is in a fit of rage. 

[Sahih Muslim - Book 032: Hadith 6314]

Narrated Wahshi ibn Harb (RadhiAllahu 'anhu):

The Companions of the Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Allah's Apostle (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) we eat but we are not satisfied.

He (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said: Perhaps you eat separately.

They replied: Yes.

He (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said: If you gather together at your food and mention Allah's name, you will be blessed in it.

[Sunan Abu-Dawud -Book 27: H 3755]

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radhi-Allahu 'anhu):

"Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya (This term "Haya" covers a large number of concepts which are to be taken together; amongst them are self respect, modesty, bashfulness, and scruple, etc.) is a part of faith."

Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth

Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).

"Jibril kept recommending treating neighbours with kindness until I thought he would assign a share of inheritance".
