and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they;

Forbidding oppression and injustice, seeking Allah's guidance

An-Nawawi’s Hadith No.24

On the authority of Abu Dharr Al-Ghifari (Radhiallahu anhu) from the Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), is that among the sayings he relates from his Rubb is that He said:

"O My slaves, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another.

O My slaves, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you.

O My slaves, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you.

O My slaves, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you.

O My slaves, you commit sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you.

O My slaves, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and you will not attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me.

O my slaves, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to become as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything.

O My slaves, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything.

O My slaves, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more than a needle decreases the sea if put into it.

O My slaves, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah, and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself."

Most superior way of asking forgiveness from Allah

Narrated Shaddad bin Aus (Radhi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is:

Allaahumma 'Anta Rabbee laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta, khalaqtanee wa 'anaa 'abduka, wa 'anaa 'alaa 'ahdika wa wa'dika mas-tata'tu, 'a'oothu bika min sharri maa sana'tu, 'aboo'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa 'aboo'u bithanbee faghfir lee fa'innahu laa yaghfiruth-thunooba 'illaa 'Anta.

[ O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am your slave. I keep Your covenant, and my pledge to You so far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my misdeeds. Forgive me, for there is none who may forgive sins but You.]

The Prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) added: "If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."

Allah SWT the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu anhu) :

Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "Allah has some angels who look for those who celebrate the Praises of Allah on the roads and paths. And when they find some people celebrating the Praises of Allah, they call each other, saying, "Come to the object of your pursuit."

He (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) added, "Then the angels encircle them with their wings up to the sky of the world."

He (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) added, "(after those people celebrated the Praises of Allah, and the angels go back), their Lord, asks them (those angels) ----though He knows better than them---- 'What do My slaves say?' The angels reply, 'They say: Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar, and Alham-du-lillah, Allah then says 'Did they see Me?' The angels reply, 'No! By Allah, they didn't see You.'

Allah says, how it would have been if they saw Me?' The angels reply, 'If they saw You, they would worship You more devoutly and celebrate Your Glory more deeply, and declare Your freedom from any resemblance to anything more often.'

Allah says (to the angels), 'What do they ask Me for?' The angels reply, 'They ask You for Paradise.' Allah says (to the angels), 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No! By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek it with greater zeal and would have greater desire for it.'

Allah says, 'From what do they seek refuge?' The angels reply, 'They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire.' Allah says, 'Did they see it?' The angels say, 'No By Allah, O Lord! They did not see it.' Allah says, How it would have been if they saw it?' The angels say, 'If they saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.'

Then Allah says, 'I make you witnesses that I have forgiven them.'

Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) added, "One of the angels would say, 'There was so-and-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.' Allah would say, 'These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to misery.' "

The Compassion of Allah Upon His Slaves

An-Nawawi’s Hadith No.37

On the authority of Ibn Abbas (Radhiallahu anhu) from the Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) is that among the sayings he relates from his Lord (Glorified and Exalted be He) is that he said:

Allah has written down the good deeds and the bad ones. Then He explained it [by saying that] he who has intended a good deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as from ten (10) good deeds to seven hundred (700) times, or many times over.

But if he has intended a bad deed and has not done it, Allah writes it down with Himself as a full good deed, but if he has intended it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed.

Allah SWT frees more slaves from Hell on Arafah day

`Aishah (RadiAllahu 'anha) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said:

"There is no day on which Allah sets free more slaves from Hell than He does on the Day of `Arafah.''

[Muslim].

Commentary:
Almighty Allah emancipates most of His slaves, both men and women from the Hell-fire on this great day. Millions of pilgrims, who by virtue of their sincere repentance, try to seek the Pleasure of Allah certainly stand to earn Allah's Pardon for their sins and thereby emancipation from the Hell-fire. May Allah grant us this grace of His.
