Expiation of minor sins committed between Prayer & Fasting

Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu anhu) reported:

Verily the Messenger of Allah ((Salallahu alayhi wasalam) said:

Five (daily) prayers and from one friday prayer to the (next) friday prayer, and from Ramadhan to Ramadhan are expiatious for the (sins) committed in between (their intervals) provided one shuns the major sins.

Two should not converse secretly to the exclusion of the third.

'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (Salallahu alayhi wasalam) as saying:

If you are three, two amongst you should not converse secretly between yourselves to the exclusion of the other (third one), until some other people join him (and dispel his loneliness), for it may hurt his feelings.

Seeking the forgiveness of Allah

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radhiallahu anhu): The Prophet (Salallahu alayhi wasalam) said,

"Angels keep on descending from and ascending to the Heaven in turn, some at night and some by daytime, and all of them assemble together at the time of the Fajr and 'Asr prayers. Then those who have stayed with you over-night, ascent unto Allah Who asks them, and He knows the answer better than they, "How have you left My slaves?" They reply, "We have left them praying as we found them praying."

If anyone of you says "Amin" (during the Prayer at the end of the recitation of Surat-al-Faitiha), and the angels in Heaven say the same, and the two sayings coincide, all his past sins will be forgiven."

O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You and to worship You

Mu'adh (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) took hold of my hand and said:

"O Mu'adh! By Allah I love you, so I advise you to never forget to recite after every prayer:

Allahumma a'inni alaa dhikrika, wa shukrika, wa husni 'ibaadatika

(O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner)."

[Abu Dawud]

Commentary:
This Hadith stresses the fact that one should seek the Help of Allah for His remembrance, thanksgiving and worship, because one cannot do anything without His Help and Support. It also shows the superiority of Mu'adh (May Allah be pleased with him) and the Prophet's love for him.
